thanksgiving
God has been really awesome, and i must say all good things come from Him.
Am really blessed with my grades. got 3 A and 2 B+!
best sem so far.
it's so good that God has been answering my prayers.
i still remember when i was stressing out prior to Boss bidding last sem, just worrying about group mates, professors, time slots, edollars etc. having to factor in all the other 1193029839247 permutations and combination to secure a class that i think would likely maximize my chance of doing well.
it got so insane that i gave up.
and u know what, i told God that im not going to exhaust my mind anymore.
im just surrendered the whole issue at his feet, and found much comfort in knowing that it's not who you bid with/for that matters, it's WHO's that in control that matters. God is.
I ended up bidded for 1 class (FIIM: financial institutions and markets) all myself and it was the class i enjoyed myself the most. digged the prof's dry humor and learnt ALOT. and yay! im capable of comprehending financial papers now.
oh yar! i must thank God for this :i got 35/40 for my final exam! and honestly i didnt manage to spend much time studying for this cause i burnt the last saturday before exam week at Zoom!
which reminds me i have yet talked about zoom!
zoom is the video scavenger hunt that a group of us has organised for the youth in our church.
We give out a list of insane/ crazy / funny tasks for these youths to do and have them captured on videos.
some examples of some tasks are as follows:
1) Pretend to have a bad stomachache on the MRT and ask a stranger for toilet paper
2) Insist to buy movie tickets for a nonexistent movie.
3)Point towards the sky/ top of shopping mall and get other strangers to look up
4) Offer popcorn to people who are watching videos outside video rental shops
The vids were all ROFL- hilarious! the youths enjoyed themselves tremendously and it makes me reflect upon the differences when one serves out of love and when one serves out of obligation.
planning school events like bay escapade, smux camp yadadad... never come close in giving me this amount of satisfaction. I guess i did it to boost my resume? and Oh remind me to include my 2 star kayaking certification in my resume version 10.4.6
my team manager said 2 star is resume- worthy? hmmmm...
ok back the point. so yar what i want to say is that what you honor God by serving you, he honours you back!
John 12:26 says, ‘Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am,my servant also will be .My Father will honour the one who serves me.
So today was a good day.
Sam and I went kite flying! our new found hobby.
our kite flew so high the line reached the end of the spool.
