u must be kidding me 2009
Really? Really it’s year 2009?!
Then why don’t we have a way to replace graphics card on laptops?!! argghH!
Technology u suck.
Just last week, Sam bought me sims 3 pc game but after a few games my laptop keep hanging.
Initially we thought it was the ram prob. So on a busy sat after all the youth Sunday rehearsal, I chionged down to funan’s fujitsu care centre only to have the IT guy ran a test on this website, which I could have done at home! Anyway the website showed me that my lousy graphic card cant support the awesome graphics of sims 3.
First im bummed out that I cant play the game cause it’s NOT possible to change graphics card on laptop.
And also I feel like a noob for not checking out the system requirements of the game FIRST.
It’s Very important for me to be IT savvy,! (pls witty and wise). And now I don’t feel like any.
Self identification zero.

time
Having applied for international exchange, I am extremely excited at the thought that I could be living in a foreign country in six month's time. This bubbling excitement has been growing inside me and is actually the inspiration for my post.
All of us have that thing in the future, big or small that spurs us on.
For me as I'm writing this at work, I'm looking forward to:
Dinner with jill n leon
Transformers with cell tmr
Friday
Gatherings
The remaining summer holiday I deserve
End of internship
End of exams
So you see the list is never ending, and by the time I'm halfway through dinner tonight, i'd be thinking of spending time with cell tmr.
The search for the next 'high' is always upon us:
Once I enter the office at 830, I can't wait to knock off.
Once it's Friday, we thinking of saturday's plans
Once we're out with our friends we can't wait to upload the pictures on facebook.
Or worse once the worship band starts playing, we think about our plans after church.
Don’t get me wrong, im not going to condemn every enjoyable event on your schedule, but something is amiss when the most awesome event has arrived and yet our attention is not there to enjoy it.
Hmm, or is there something I don’t quite understand about TIME?
We humans live in time, but God destines us to eternity.
For the Present is the point at which time touches eternity. Of the present moment, and of it only, humans have an experience analogous to the experience which God has of reality as a whole; in it alone, freedom and actuality are offered them. (CS Lewis)
What is also means is that it’s not the past nor the future we do have union with God, it’s this very breathing moment that we mediate on His Presence, this very moment that we have the choice to be obedient, to worship Him in our thoughts and action.
And the freedom that we have in the Present is the
1) freedom from mistakes of the past and
2) Freedom of hope and fear of the future.
This freedom from mistakes of the past is where we who are in Christ live our lives without condemnation (Romans 1:8). Where the truth we know, will truly set us free.
Strangely, you would think the future is almost like eternity, where both seem forward looking. But future is within the time continuum and eternity is out of that. When we think of eternity, we think of our life after death, we think of our life in heaven. But eternity is here already. It was before time began.
And this freedom of hope and fear of the future is the freedom of the expectations that we set. And God doesn’t want us to be enslaved and trapped in that. He says
34Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. (matthew 10:34)
Like the story of Mary and Martha, the two sisters who behaved so differently in the presence of Jesus. One sat so attentively at His feet, holding on to his every word and the other rushed around the house, getting things done.
One understood that encountering Christ in the moment before her was the best part of life. The other was still preparing for that moment when she was already in it.
Be in the moment. Live in the moment.

Blogging on the move
To all the 'first times' in life... I say Cheers.
How awesome is this iPhone, that allows me to blog on the move. am taking a long bus ride home after cell. (youth cell) Today we came up with a name for our newly multiples cell.... Wait for it.... Wait....." CEDAR"!
Just check it out against psalm 92 verse 12-15! It's pretty fitting!
Cedar is a type of tree, almost like oak. Well the amazing thing is how the past
Months God has impressed upon my heart the vision of a tree with branches providing shade for the Weary n lost. Through quiet time with Him I keep reading verses that has something of a plant or a tree in it.
Like john 15, the vine and the branches.
Mark 4: 32 is the verse that I felt God really speaking to me when I seek him out in janurary at st john's island. It was an intention time of just waiting upon him to release his word. n God speaks... Just be still n wait.
It's encouraging to hear confirmation like this. And ultimately Lord, work your way in us, not our will but Yours be done.

sunrise sunshine
I believe in Christianity as I believe that the sun has risen: not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.
C.S Lewis.
I just bought C.S Lewis’s signature classics, seven books in one for 48 bucks. Really a good deal. Yeah he is more commonly known to be the author of The Chronicles of Narnia, (which has strong Christian themes) but he also had written other theological books.
Anyway, some of his writings are rather deep, and I must say he is definitely ahead of his time!
Through the ages, history showed that it was impossible for Man to justify himself through the law from Moses. We simply cant be made right by our own works! It’s impossible for us to be holy by God’s standards…
And with sins in us, how can we draw near the One most holy?
God who is omniscient, (all knowing) knew that Adam was going to sin in the garden of eden. He knew man would still reject him even while He was on earth. Yet He still created us, not as robots to do his bidding. But He gave us free will, and longs for us to CHOOSE him, and worship Him as we are to be made.
Jesus who was there with the Father in the beginning of time was prepared to come to die for our sins, because of this Free Will.
I guess it's because of this free will that made us, really unique. Think about it, there is really no one like us humans. All glory to God who created us as {Humans]amphibians- half spirit, half animal. As spirits we belong to the eternal world, yet as animals we inhibit time. (C. S Lewis)
