dad
ahh my sister mentioned a few weeks ago that she wannt join that gym too under my dad's recommendation card. lol.. afterall my dad's always bragging how he's a loyal customer of the gym. ha. my dad was boasting to us how he's always the A list customer for his credit card company and citibank is gonna send him a THIRD ipod nano. hahas. my dad really has a silver tongue.. i think partly coz he's in sales before.
i still rem those childhood times...
every year on the night of christmas.. my dad will tell us to go sleep and then when we wake up "santa'" would have already put those presents under the christmas tree.
since me and my sister are always too excited to sleep, my dad will look out of the window and say " ahh! i think i saw santa and this reindeers flying past. so u all better sleep now"
ha. i still vividly remember that mental image i have in my head of the reindeers outside the window in my old house at bedok. kinda cute thinking abt it now..
but as years passed.. i start to realise those beautiful pictures that my parents painted arent always the truth. slowly, we start doubting their words and now even being disrespectful to their authority. i miss those innocent days.
when i believed in santa exist.
when i believed u will become stupid if you run around during dinner.
when i believed cockkroaches will come out of the swimming pool when it turns dark.
when i believed my future hushand will have lots of pimples if i dont finish my rice.
hahs. all these are the little tales my parents said in "scaring" us to behave. these tales may seem insignifant when uttered at the moment... strangely, it had left an everlasting mark in my life.. yet i doubt my parents can even remind saying these tales. hmmm.. dont you wonder which tales you will want to pass on to ur kids?
i so wanna starve myself tmr and play MAFIA the whole day. coz i feel uber sinful feasting at seoul garden! ooh.. i saw liseng ( did u see that vivien? teehees) tmr im going science centre! woots! =) hahhas.
