wednesday

my very slack Wednesday.

10am- rise and shine
11am-130pm went out with mom and aunt to buy clock from bukit merah neighbourhood. aunt brought us to awesome Malay cuisine at orchard. yum yum
130pm-230 met ash at smu. =) it was a impromptu meeting cause we happen to be in the same vicnity. went for wings and wages at hemisphere's cafe. ultimate chill out place!
230-500 head back home to nap
500-700pm i went to gym at SMU. only it felt like i was gyming at some private fitness centre. the showers in school rocks too. unlimited hot and powerful jet of waters.
700pm to 830pm Academic Writing Class. ha, finally a major homework for me : 1 essay draft.
830 to 11pm went to watch 881 with mommy. a very funny show! but it didnt make me cry.

eeeks. so many people in smoooo are using my word: "Chummy"

ok, not really "my" word cause i learnt it from someone else...maybe that's why i dont really like hearing it from anyone else.

it puts me off when people know of the non-mainstream bands that i like too.
like that "hey there deliah" song. pffft. i was listening to it 1 yr ago before it even hit the radios. now it's overplayed! give me a breakkkkk.

i pray that "sway" by The Perishers will never hit the radios.
oh wells. that song is too overplayed in my life anyway.

we could lie here lazy

it was a lovely weekend. a post 7mth anniversary outing.
we chilled at the beach, frolicked in the waters, threw the frisbee around... yet another lazy saturday afternoon. i like. =)

we went to the butterfly park (my first time!)




and of course had our favorite seafood pizza for dinner. from Tripizza at siloso beach..


this seafood pizza is the BEST pizza in singapore. serious. gosh. it's the "i'll have multiple orgasm just from having this pizza" kind of feeling. sigh. i think i even had a dream about this pizza during my short 2 hr nap. you know it's the best pizza when you wont mind having this every meal for a week!

ps. i love the lovely pictures taken by the nikon D80! the color's amazing.
guess it's a trade-off... haha cause it can be a tad annoying when your boyfriend's hands are occupied with the camera. and your own hands just feel lonely. haha.

oooh.. ten more minutes till my sis's birthday. Happy Birthday Ah Jie! shant reveal your age here. hahahs.

it's amazing how God provides

was doing quiet time earlier and praying that God give me the understanding not to worry about material matters, for He's the Provider of all things.

and within minutes, my dad popped by our new place and gave me 100 bucks for my uni textbooks!

and this verse is brought to light "Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present all your request to God" phil 4:6

and it's such an awesome awesome weather today for me and ash to have some fun at the beach! off to the beach!

2nd day in school and i've already been to the library to get reading materials for my biz law class. of course, homeworks has been assigned and i got a test next week!
all this are happening wayyyyy too fast.

and im feeling under the weather. =(
this's not good.
and i shant bitch about class participation... YET.

hmm.. must make a mental note to be wary of overly chummy people around me.

rant!

if you cant freaking keep your girlfriend by your side, you dont go around accusing me of instigating your breakup. that's like so stupid.

your lack of charm and attraction is no fault of mine.

Heaven? Hades?

had a really sickening realization earlier.

I was having dinner with Ashley and his parents and naturally the topic about God was brought up. His parents then shared about this book that they were reading that told of this woman who was brought up to heaven by God 17 times. And when she was in heaven, she asked God " Where's my mother? My mother who has been a wonderful person and why isn't she here with me?"

God brought this vision to her : her mother was in Hell, surrounded by fire. The woman felt so helpless... and her mother could only just wave at her...
So there she was, condemned in hell for eternity (how freaking long is eternity) simply for the fact that she wasn't a believer. And there and then it struck me how many loved ones around me have not accepted Christ.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,^[a] that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16

see the highlighted word: BELIEVES . yeah that' right! just with FAITH you get to have eternal life.
not good works, not burning of incense, not a pilgrimage to the Middle East, not chanting, not the food you offer to the deities blah blah.
FAITH.

Praise God cause everything is falling into place now. His infinite grace and mercy never fails to amaze me. finally, I'm at peace. I'm back at that place once again.

thank God this whole episode is finally over. i will keep all the lessons learnt close to my heart. never will i be swayed ever, cause only through this i realise how awesome your love is. and i wont want to disappoint you and Him again.

national day 07

this year's National Day was a tad different.

i felt nostalgic thinking back of my days in crescent and how we usually celebrate National Day with a bang. where everyone would gather at the hall, in our Red and Whites and sing those national days song as though there were no tomorrow. we will always do the choo-choo train round the school hall, and it's such event where you feel the unity and love among crescentians. oh and we will always end the event by singing the school song and we ALWAYS drag the last line which goes " the day that we must part... may crescent remain in our hearttsssss"

you know I would give up my NDP tickets any day for a trip back into time and experience national day celebration at crescent again.

yet this year National Day was really really special. WEB (my cell group) had a picnic at westcoast park! =) we play frisbee, flew a kite ( my first time!) and celebrated Dawn's and Emily's Birthday. ha. but birthday celebrations at web is never a good thing cause you get to do forfeits like mad.

then ash and I went down to catch the fireworks just behind the esplanade. ha. not that a strategic spot for photos-taking cause of the trees but it doesnt really matter... cause you get awed by the magnificent fireworks and the thundering sound that it makes. and i told him i dont really care if i catches the fireworks or not just as long as i have him beside me.

we went butter factory after. Geri invited us to her NUS LAW bash. crowd's pretty decent and music was pretty groovy. ha some joker came donning the national flag. ha ha ha.

oh yar, went for SAMBA MASALA try outs today. it was good! we practised around with some instruments, i did the agogo bells and we were able to put up a short lil' perfomance within an hour! love the way we sounded, love percussion, love how the beats are able to make me so happy inside.

anyway, i was just randomly surfing and i stumbled upon SMU's podcast by SMU radio. it's pretty hilarious. hahas like how they refer to the 2 other unis as BVU and BLU (Buona Vista University and Boon Lay University) and of course SMU would be the CITY UNIVERSITY! hahahahahahas.
