to the left or to the right?

i know this template is a bit hard to maneuver. but if you are reading this, it just means u are smart enough to click on the little words over at the postit :)

went to Timbre with ena last night but didnt manage to catch Goodfellas :(
bumped into ena's SAJC friends. hahas. they were a pretty fun bunch.

most interesting line i've learnt yesterday from the guys:
"single and ready to mingle"

and if you are asked where the hell is someone/ something u dont freaking care,
you answer, "up my ass and to the right"

hahahas. i found that v. hilarious!

chad is my homeboy

i had one of the best weekends :)
managed to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.
i still remember the lazy sunday morning. rolling around under those warm sheets is such a simple pleasure in life. too bad no banana pancakes in bed for me!
ha i missed church in the end.

Cluny Park on a sunday afternoon is yet another pleasure. i saw swans, terrapins, pond skater, and this "new" bird, which i have no name for. haha. The rain came and went away :) It was like one of those refreshing showers.
took a short cut to vivo from cluny park. ended up riding in the direction of the on coming traffic as it was a 1 way road. hahahas. cars were horning at us like mad! i just laughed and laughed all the way!

apparently there was some story telling session at page one that day!
when asked how much do you love your parents.
one kid went : from that escalator there *points.. until this bookshelf.
and other kid went "from that escalator there *points... until the end of the bookstore!
and another kid went : from the basement floor to the top floor, up down up down 20 times! *points vigorously up and down!

hahaha. kidssss. innnocent days eh?

:) i want to let my guard down really. just be gentle.

LOL hossan!

hossan leong is coming to smu to do a standup on the 21st jan 7pm!
weeheees :)
and it's free! and im looking forward to that after the bondue bash!

Anyway my management communication prof was talking about class participation points today... that as students we shouldn't blame others for talking too much in class and depriving others of the opportunity to speak up. "it's a tough world out there", i quote her. " The meek does not inherit the corporate world"

Contrary to what Matthew had written in Matt 5:5, "Blessed are the meek, for they will inherit the earth"

my whole body is achinggggggg. capoeira is alot more painful that i thoughtttttt

depressing news+ rant+ blahblah

it's depressing reading the newspaper really. i dont know how can people start of the day with coffee and depressing news.
and these are the headlines today

" another dengue death", "harbin ice fest feeling heat of global warming"
"rising oil prices" blah blah.
almost every headlines has a negative effect.

my heart really does goes out to those who are affected by natural disasters, regardless whether the victims are in India or USA.
cause i think i read somewhere that if the death toll for a natural disaster in India is like less than 20,000 (or some other figure) that news is NOT WORTH reporting, whereas in USA, the final death toll for Sept/11 Attacks is 2752. (im tempted to put the word "ONLY" 2752, but that again doesn't justify my point that every life is precious)

sigh. global warming, depletion of natural resources, rising cost of living (damn annoying cab fares!), increased human traffic, competitive education environment (cough *smooo) violence, deaths....
im just so skeptical how the next generation is going to survive. and i just so put off that i may not want to have a baby. why put my child through so much suffering...

anyway, back to reality.
today was a super shagged day for me.
i had a 830 Management Science class. pretty fun class, finally with FA and MS, i feel like im finally doing a BUSINESS Degree. seriously, my modules last sem were like sooooo unrelated, like : Analytical Skills, Creative Thinking, Business Govt Society. it was like doing a general degree.
oh who am i to kid. hahah. business IS a general degree! hahahas.

went to give tuition in the afternoon.
and attend the capoeira trial class after.
in case you dont know, Capoeria is a Brazilian form of Martial Art. almost like a dance with music etc... (disclaimer: Wikipedia is not 100% accurate, as it is a user-contributed online encylopedia. FYI: every article in wiki has a edit this page button that allows anyone who surfs along to add or delete content to the page)... hmm just think. not every one with a PHD will be editing the page, so, NEVER treat wikipedia as gospel truth. hahaha. (im amused yet again)
cause there seems to be another irony here.
ever heard of the judas ischariot gospel? the one that claims that Judas did not betrayed Jesus but was "destined" to be put into that role to fulfill Christ's crucification on the cross.
well im not a believer of that but perhaps "gospel truth" to some may not be that "true".. yikes.

anyhows. back to what im saying abt my day.
i had frisbee physical training after that trial class and im just shagged right now. so im going to end here.

when too early in the morn is too late

had class bbq/gathering at weihao's place yesterday. it was the best turn out ever! the rainy weather didnt dampen our mood, we brought the food back to his place and cook everything in the oven/ toaster!
it's so nice to see everyone again! :) the guys with their usual army talk, who can blame them. and the girls just talk about pretty much everything. haha
weihao took out his secret stash of alcohol and we managed to mix lots of nice drinks. compared to new year's party at geri's... haha! this was so much better.
and benghui drank so much that he puked in weihao's toilet. eeeeewwww :|

we played taboo. guys versus girls. and i saw for myself how severely brain-damaging army is. haha. we kick their arses. hurhur.
taboo's fun!!!

what a great night it was... all the way till the wee hours of the morning.
it was and will always be crazy beautiful

HAIRPEA KNEEL EAR

hahaha countdown party at geri's place was NICE. am glad to cross over to the new year with this close group of friends :)
am just too old to squeeze to esplanade to catch the fireworks, so instead we had this mini potluck party which was something special and different.
Josef Tan made it to the party and had lots of lame funny stuff to say and crack us up constantly.
it was a party that discriminate against bimbos i tell ya. we played games like "smart ass", "cranium", "pass the bombs" which were all trivia, puzzles, word games etc.
hahahas. next time better read up and expand my general knowledge before attending another of geri's party.
it was the guys against the girls for cranium. hahas more of like RJC boys versus Crescent girls. lol. we lost miserably. hahahas.

we caught the last few bits of the live performance from vivocity just before it was midnight so we know when to start counting down. lol. we popped the party poppers at geri's garden and played sparklers at the playground. the guys had a hard time trying to swing themselves. i think they are just too tallllll!

and ALSO, 1st Jan is geraldine's birthday! and it's really hard to plan a surprise for someone when the party is at her house! we had a hard time trying to distract her away from the cake and stuff.. lol. and we couldnt find matches to light the sparklers (which were suppose to substitute the candles!) and she walked in on us while we were setting up the cake too! hahas so the "surprise" was kinda spoilt but am sure geri was touched :)
wow. i've known geri for like 7 years nowwwww. she's my best desk partner!

anyway :) enjoy the new year people!
pictures another time!
